If any student wants to persue the nursing diploma courses anm, gnm. He or she can choose any one college affiliated with UP State Medical Faculty Lucknow. An entrance aptitude test will be conducted through the college to mark a merit for the students.

ANM stands for Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife. This diploma course completing duration is 2 years. The detailed knowledge about vaccination, community, fundamentals of nursing, midwifery, pediatrics is to be taught to the students. The course fee generally is 60000-70000 per year or depends on the respective colleges.
Minimum Qualification- 10th + 2 (from the authorised school)
Minimum Qualifying Marks- 40% marks
Age limit- 18 to 30 or 35 years
Duration- 2 years
Subjects in 12th- Science/ Arts/ Commerce
GNM stands for General Nursing and Midwifery. This diploma course completing duration is 3 years. The detailed knowledge about the medicines, psychology, community, midwifery and obstretics, disease conditions, pediatrics etc is to be taught in the gnm syllabus to the students. The general fees is 90000 – 100000 per year or depends on the respective colleges.
Minimum qualification- 10th + 2 (from an authorised school)
Minimum Qualifying marks- 40% marks
Age Limit – 18 to 35 years
Duration- 3 years
Subjects in 12th- Science/ Arts/ Commerce + English
Apart from all the qualifications and eligibility criterias the students have to clear the entrance exam conducted by the college and there are limited seats available in the colleges for ANM and GNM. And the candidate should be medically fit for persuing the ANM, GNM nursing courses.
